Austin is the Capitol of the State of Receivers

Sunday was a HUGE day for a good few wide-outs (and a tight end).  Though the quarterbacks threw admirably, there was just some exceptional play from their receivers.  Here's a list of receivers who caught two touchdowns yesterday with the defense they played against in parentheses:

Miles Austin: 10 receptions - 250 yards - 2 touchdowns (against Kansas City)
Roddy White: 8 rec - 210 yds - 2 tds (against San Francisco)
Jeremy Maclin: 6 rec - 142 yds - 2 tds (against Tampa Bay)
Kellen Winslow: 9 rec - 102 yds - 2 tds (against Philadelphia)
Andre Johson: 8 rec - 101 yds - 2 tds (against Arizona)
Nate Burleson: 6 rec - 98 yds - 2 tds (against Jacksonville)
Larry Fitzgerald: 5 rec - 79 yds - 2 tds (against Houston)
T.J. Houshmandzadeh: 5 rec - 77 yds - 2 tds (against Jacksonville)
Brandon Marshall: 8 rec - 64 yds - 2 tds (against New England)

How about receivers with over 50 yards and one touchdown?  (Worth over 10 points in Yahoo! standard leagues)

Hines Ward: 7 rec - 85 yds - 1 td (against Detroit)
Ray Rice: 7 rec - 74 yds - 1 td (against Cincinnati)
Heath Miller: 5 rec - 54 yds - 1 td (against Detroit)
Mike Wallace: 2 rec - 52 yds - 1 td (against Detroit)
Dwayne Bowe: 5 rec - 74 yds - 1 td (against Dallas)
Donnie Avery: 5 rec - 87 yds - 1 td (against Minnesota)
Wes Welker: 8 rec - 86 yds - 1 td (against Denver)
Braylon Edwards: 5 rec - 64 yds - 1 td (against Miami)
Ted Ginn, Jr.: 2 rec - 57 yds - 1 td (against New York Jets)
Reggie Wayne: 6 rec - 60 yds - 1 td (against Tennessee)

(Visanthe Shiancoe gets an honorable mention on this list, he was one short of the 50 yard mark with 4 receptions, 49 yards and a touchdown.)

The point I want to make is that there is a reason you start the big names at one and two positions as receiver.  Quarterbacks are going to keep their eyes on their favorite toys who become that for a reason.
